After two years of planning, designing and creating, our first timepiece, The Bradley, is finally available for preorder!
The preorder option is at the top right of our homepage — all we need is your email.
We first developed the concept for a fashionable watch you don’t have to look at when our founder Hyungsoo Kim was an MBA student at MIT. Since then, we’ve been through dozens of user interviews, trips to China to develop a prototype, and co-design sessions with innovative designers. We’ve built a great team, partnered with an inspiring spokesman, and received support from communities of all different backgrounds.
And we have a beautiful timepiece to show for it.
Features of our debut timepiece
The Bradley features a titanium face with a matte finish and two small ball-bearings you can touch to determine the time. That’s why we don’t call it a “watch” — because you can tell time by touching, rather than looking at, the face.
While designing our tactile timepiece, we focused on beautiful form and exceptional function, creating an innovative design that maintains a minimalist, modern aesthetic. Staying true to our initial vision, our timepiece accommodates both sighted and visually impaired users equally.
The wrist strap comes in two forms: a metal, mesh variety (see below) and a more colorful fabric and leather option (featured above). We’re running a poll on our Facebook page where you can tell us which one you like better.
Why do we call it The Bradley? We’ve named our debut timepiece after ex-Naval officer Brad Snyder, who lost his sight from an explosion while serving in Afghanistan, and went on to win several medals as a swimmer in the 2012 Summer Paralymics.
Snyder, who was wearing our timepiece alongside Prince Harry when they launched the Warrior Games recently in Colorado, says, “I’m not going to let blindness build a wall around me.” He has inspired us, and you’ll see that reflected in The Bradley.
So what are you waiting for? Preorder The Bradley of your choice, and you’ll help fuel the inclusive design movement and make yourself more fashionable at the same time.
