April brought out the playful side of the Eone team. It was time to have some fun and we came up with the idea of trying to convince the world we had created a living timepiece. Enter the ‘Bradley Moss’.
We hit the garden centers to source the perfect moss for our creation and painstakingly applied the moss to a real Bradley Timepiece with tweezers and glue!
The Bradley Moss ‘launched’ on April 1st (of course!). This imagined timepiece and ‘living artwork’ that featured real-life moss on the iconic Bradley appeared on our website as if for sale. The product description assured potential buyers the moss was forgiving and easy to maintain for those without green fingers. It would withstand dryer climates while flourishing in humid environments. Our pseudo-claims went from absurd to bizarre as the description went on to point out the benefits of the Bradley Moss, which included its contribution to cleaner air for our planet! To top it all off, the Moss launched with a modest price tag of US$2,204!
The Moss attracted significant attention and people did wonder, if only for a moment, if it was real. We hope our little April fool’s shenanigans brought a smile to your face as well as ours.
